A Giant and beautiful island

Borneo, a giant island in Southeast Asia's Malay Archipelago, is shared by the Malaysian states of Sabah and Sarawak, Indonesian Kalimantan and the tiny nation of Brunei.
It's known for it's beaches and ancient, bio diverse rain forest, home to wildlife including orang utan and clouded leopards

In 2016, means about 4 years ago, when i was in Golden Tulip Pontianak - West Kalimantan, as usual i had my trip to the places that i have not known at all. By GPS and road map is easier to go everywhere, right?

In central Kalimantan (Kalimantan Tengah), there is a small city namely Palangka Raya. To reach Kuala Pembuang which taken about 6 to 7 hours by car, pass over Sampit - Kotawaringin Timur then Pantai Ujung Pandaran.
Beautiful roadside views, the sun sets on the beach on left and coconut tree on right side.

There are several traditional villas for visitor as you seen on photos. There is no specific reason on this trip, i just want to enjoy it. Arrived at Kuala Pembuang, i only found one motel. Seem the local government should pay more attention to visitor for tourism area. Nice view along the way with great infrastructure is support the area for tourism destination. Yah need creativity from local investor to develop the town and also support from local government.

I enjoy along the way, cease for a while to take photo and continue the trip. This is the longest hours i ever spent during my trip by car.
Awaiting another time for my next trip...
